The International Diaspora Youth Leadership Conference 2010 in Toronto will include fifteen-minute company presentations that will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

Is your company interested in raising capital, partnering your products or technologies, or developing strategic alliances in Canada and internationally? If so, submit an application to present your company at The International Diaspora Youth Leadership Conference 2010 in Toronto.

Presenting companies will have the opportunity to make their pitch to an audience of business development executives, investors, CEOs, and other industry executives. It is an excellent opportunity to find potential partners for your products, initiate strategic alliances or tap into the international financing network. Your presentation should focus on your company’s mission, technology, milestones, achievements, and the types of opportunities you are pursuing.

The application deadline for company presentations is January 15, 2010. All applications will then be reviewed by a selection committee to determine acceptance status. Companies will be notified when they are selected to present.

Presentations must be given by the company CEO or a designated executive. The cost for presenting is the full symposium registration, plus the presentation fee outlined below. All symposium attendees have access to the company presentations at no additional fee.

    A full time passionate and committed management team that has invested their own capital in addition to their career opportunity cost. While it is not expected that the company have a complete management team, the current team should have minimum of two individuals. Additionally, the assembled team should identify which members they are missing and be prepared to discuss identified candidates

  8. Identification of business model and description of how the company makes money.
  9. Market Potential and Benefits to Industry:
    A large addressable market and clearly stated pain/problem for this market.
    Give evidence of customer demand through active sales prospecting and funnel management, purchase orders, letters of intent, letters of commitment, or actual shipped/invoiced sales supported by market research.

  11. Partners or Customers:
    A contract, agreement, relationship, joint venture, partnership or capacity to manufacturer or distribute the product or service.

    Competitor Analysis and documentation of competitive differentiators. Please do not say you dont have any; every company has some form of competition.
  14. Exit Strategy
    A defined exit strategy/return for the Angel Fund including but not limited to share repurchase, rents, dividend, principal and interest payments, merger/acquisition or IPO.
